Video snippets are when Google presents a video and highlights a suggested clip from that video that answers the searchers question. What we found in our study was that these make up about 16% of snippets for information searches. The length of the video itself didn’t matter in whether or not it was selected for a snippet, but the length of the suggested clip was only about one minute 28 seconds on average with the longest suggested clip being two minutes and six seconds long.
